Alaba Ann Danagogo, a 20-year-old Nigerian, graduated as the overall best student of Syracuse University’s 2021 class with a 3.97/4.00 CGPA in Biology and a minor in English and Tertiary Studies, earning the prestigious 1870 Syracuse University Scholarship for medical school.
Recognized as a Distinguished Syracuse University Scholar and elected as Senior Class Marshal, Ann conducted independent research on neurodevelopmental disorders while actively engaging in clinical work and community service, including assisting patients in hospitals and volunteering at an ophthalmic clinic in Nigeria.
Beyond healthcare, she contributed to social causes by raising awareness of food waste, mentoring international students, and tutoring peers. Excited about her new role as Senior Class Marshal, she looks forward to furthering her impact at the university and beyond.
