Rewards For Bonn SDG Fellowships, University of Bonn
– A travel allowance (depending on country of origin)
– A scholarship of € 3,000 per month (additional funds for family members: up to € 300 for a spouse and € 250 per child)
– A research expense allowance of up to € 500 per month can be submitted to the International Office after the fellowship has been awarded. Information on applying for the allowance will be provided with your fellowship award.
– Insurance benefits are not included in the scholarship. Please note that the International Office cannot provide housing for scholarship recipients.
Requirements For Bonn SDG Fellowships, University of Bonn
– You must have completed your doctorate no more than three years ago.
– You must have an excellent academic record and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
– You must have a research proposal that is relevant to one or more of the SDGs and that can be carried out in collaboration with a professor at the University of Bonn.
– You must have an invitation letter from a professor at the University of Bonn who agrees to host and supervise you during your stay.
– You must have a good command of English or German.
The application deadline for funding starting at the earliest in January 2025, and no later than July 2025, is April 30, 2024. The application must be submitted online by the inviting professor at the University of Bonn. The application includes:
– A completed application form
– A curriculum vitae of the applicant
– A list of publications of the applicant
– A research proposal (max. 5 pages) that outlines the objectives, methods, expected results and timeline of the project
– An invitation letter from the host professor at the University of Bonn
– A letter of recommendation from a senior researcher who is familiar with the applicant’s work
– Copies of certificates and transcripts
