Bayero University Kano has opened the online screening for newly admitted undergraduate students.
The screening is a required step to confirm admission into the university.
Candidates must complete all steps carefully.
Follow All Screening Steps Correctly
Step 1 Accept Admission and Print JAMB Letter
- Visit the JAMB admission letter page.
- Accept the offer and print the JAMB admission letter.
Step 2 Check Admission Status on BUK Portal
- UTME candidates must visit BUK UTME admission status page.
- Direct Entry candidates must visit BUK DE admission status page.
- Use JAMB number, state of origin, and gender or any requested detail to check the admission status.
Step 3 Download Admission Documents
- Download the BUK admission letter.
- Download the Undertaking Form.
- Download the University Health Services Registration Form.
Step 4 Pay Acceptance Fee
- Generate and print the BUK Personalized Payment Form (BUKPPF).
- Acceptance fee is Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000).
- Payment must be made through Remita e-Payments and e-Collection platforms.
- Read and follow the payment procedure carefully.
- BUK will not be responsible for any loss of funds due to wrong data entry.
- After payment, validate it by clicking “check payment status” on the payment page.
- All paid fees are non-refundable.
Step 5 Upload Required Documents
Upload clear copies in JPG format (size less than 1MB):
- JAMB Slip
- JAMB Admission Letter
- O Level Result
- A Level Result (for Direct Entry candidates only)
- Other supporting documents if needed
Documents may be rejected if unclear.
Candidates must re-upload better copies if any document is rejected.
For complaints or help, use the message box icon at the right side of the portal.
Expect some delay during the document approval period.
Step 6 Print Acknowledgement Slip
- After approval, print the Acknowledgement Slip.
- The slip contains the registration number and more instructions.
- Follow all instructions on the Acknowledgement Slip for full registration and documentation.
