BSL care has been supporting people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health issues for over 30 years. We are a family run business that has a strong track record in delivering high quality care and support to the people we support. We have an ongoing need to recruit care and support workers that have a passion to support people with complex care needs live normal lives.
For this role specifically we are seeking care assistants to support people that have a learning disability and or autism.
You will have experience of working with adults that display challenging behaviour. You should have achieved your Level 2 in Health and Social care.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a genuine desire to help others and a desire to excel in professional development. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for helping others, strong communication skills and experience in social care.
Responsibilities:
- Promote the independence and choice of the people we support
- Always consider the least restrictive practices
- Support people with personal care when needed
- Support people meet their nutritional needs
- Help people to understand their care plans and the care they will receive.
- Work with managers and respond to feedback
- Talk with people we support and their families in a caring positive manner
- Be aware of peoples right to privacy

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £12.81 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
