We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Health Care Assistant to provide high-quality care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will support clients with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their wellbeing is prioritised. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with their health and personal care needs.

 

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support clients with mobility and transferring, ensuring safety at all times
• Help with domestic chores including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
• Administer medication as per care plans and instructions
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care
• Follow care plans meticulously to meet individual needs and preferences
• Drive to clients’ homes using a personal vehicle where applicable
• Report any concerns regarding client wellbeing or safety promptly to supervising staff

Experience

• Previous experience in a home care or care home setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
• Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between clients’ homes
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills

Pay: £13.00 per hour
