Friday, 18 April 2025 and Monday, 21 April 2025 have been marked as official holidays.
These dates cover Good Friday and Easter Monday.
The announcement came through the Ministry of Interior.
The notice was issued on behalf of the Federal Government.
The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the statement public.
He congratulated Christians in Nigeria on this Easter celebration.
He urged the public to reflect on the meaning of Easter.
He stated that the season reminds people of sacrifice and love.
He said Jesus Christ gave his life for mankind.
He also called on Nigerians to pray for the peace of the country.
