
Ofure Ebhomielen, a trailblazing Nigerian student, has made history as the first female to achieve a perfect 7.0 CGPA at the University of Ibadan and has secured a fully funded scholarship for a master’s degree at Stanford University.

In a remarkable display of academic excellence, Ofure Ebhomielen, a talented Nigerian student, has etched her name in history as the first female to attain a perfect 7.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) at the University of Ibadan (UI), Nigeria.
Her stellar achievement has led to her being awarded a fully funded scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Computer Science at the esteemed Stanford University in the United States.
Graduating in 2019, Ofure was recognized as the best-graduating student of UI, achieving a first-class degree in Computer Science with an unparalleled CGPA of 7.0—the highest possible at the institution.
According to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, such an academic milestone has only been accomplished four times in the school’s history, highlighting Ofure’s unique position as the first female to reach this pinnacle.
What amplifies her achievement is her consistency; Ofure maintained a flawless CGPA throughout her entire university tenure.
Her exceptional performance earned her a prestigious scholarship to Stanford University, known for its rigorous academic environment. At Stanford, she embarked on her Master’s degree in Computer Science while also taking on the role of a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
While at Stanford, Ofure focused on specialization in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Theories & Principles, deeply engaging in Deep Learning Projects and advanced Machine Learning & Model Building.
Her fervor for AI drove her to explore sophisticated deep learning models and honed her skills in using PyTorch, an influential machine-learning framework.
