Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Horticultural Technology under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above listed universities include;
Mathematics and any two (2) of Chemistry, Physics or Technical Drawing
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
i) FEDAGRIC-AKR requires (for Horticultural Technology) Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any one of Economics, Technical Drawing, Physics, and Geography. For Forestry Technology, it requires Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Horticultural Technology;
You require;
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and any two (2) subjects from: Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork for Civil Engineering Technology, Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography, Economics/Commerce.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
i) RUGIPO requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and any three (3) from Geography, Food and Nutrition, Technical Drawing, English Language, Nigerian Language, Chemistry, Physics, Economics and Home Economics.
ii) BUPOLY-HAD- requires Biology/Agricultural Science and two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, and Geography as UTME subjects.
iii) OYSCATECH requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any other one (1) from Biology/Agricultural Science, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, and Economics/Commerce.
iv) RUGIPO requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Chemistry and two (2) from Geography, Economics, English Language and Physics. It requires at least ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.
v) FECOFOR-IBD requires Biology/Agricultural Science and two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics and Geography as UTME subjects.
