Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Building Technology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above listed universities include;
Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Fine Arts.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
i)  ILARO POLY accepts Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry, Fine Arts, Geography, Economics, Biology/Agricultural Science.
ii)Â BAUCHI POLY requires any three (3) subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics/Geography, Fine Art and Technical Drawing.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Building Technology;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics and Physics and any three (3) of the following:
Economics/Commerce,
Technical Drawing/Fine Art,
Chemistry,
Geography,
Further Mathematics
Woodwork,
Biology,
Religious Knowledge,
Metal Work,
And at least a credit pass in English Language is Compulsory. A pass in Art or Technical Drawing will be an advantage.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
i)Â OKO POLY may accept City and Guilds/WAEC Technical Certificate (Ordinary/Advanced Craft) Credit in Building accompanied by four (4) ‘O’ Level credit passes in relevant Science subjects.
ii)Â OSUNTECH does not accept Religious Studies as course requirement.
iii)Â FIDEI POLY requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any of Building Engineering, Drawing, Building Construction and any of NABTEB Trade such as Bricklaying, Plumbing, Painting and Decoration, Carpentry, Wood, Machinery and Furniture Crafts.
iv)Â ADO POLY accepts NABTEB certificate with ‘O’ Level credit passes in Block Laying & Concreting, Carpentry & Joinery, Plumbing and Pipe filling.
v)Â OFFA POLYÂ requires at least ‘O’ Level passes in Physics, Chemistry and ‘O’ Level credit in English Language.
vi)Â DELTA POLYÂ Same as in Agricultural Engineering.
vii)Â Â Â RAMATPOLY same as in Architectural Technology
viii)Â Â PLA-POLY requires four (4) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two (2) from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science at one (1) sitting and five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at two (2) sittings
ix)Â KWARA POLY accepts ‘O’ Level credit passes in Biology, Building Construction, Wood/Metal Work, Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Block Laying, Constructing Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery and Carpentry. Does not accept Commerce. Also requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and any two (2) from the subjects listed.
x)Â RUGIPO requires ‘O’ Level pass in English Language in addition to five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes required by UTME requirements. NABTEB certificate with five (5) credits in the following options: block laying and Concreting, Carpentry and Joinery, Plumbing and Pine fitting may be accepted.
xi) EDE POLY requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two (2) from the following: Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Economics/Commerce, Geography, Building Construction & Block Laying, Technical Drawing/Graphic, Carpentry & Joinery/Woodwork/Upholstery, and Plumbing/Pipe fittings/Metal Work/Basic Electricity/Painting/Decoration.
xii) IBADAN POLY requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and at least a ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.  Also accepts ‘O’ Level credit passes in Block Laying and Concreting, Carpentry and Joinery, Plumbing and Pipe Fittings.
xiii)  ILARO POLY requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of the following Economics/Commerce, Building Construction, Technical Drawing/Graphics Design, Civic Education, Carpentry and Joinery, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Painting and Decoration, Wood work, Computer Studies, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Further Mathematics, Religious Knowledge, Metal Work, Upholstery, Basic Electronics, Introduction to Building Construction, Financial Accounting, Draughtsmanship/ Graphic Design, Machine Woodworking, Computer Craft Studies, Furniture Making, Electrical Installation & Maintenance Work, Welding and Fabrication  A pass in Technical Drawing and or Building Construction will be an advantage. Â
xiv)Â Â NEKEDE POLY requires credit passes in Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry and three (3) of Geography, Economics, Technical Drawing/Art, Wood Work, Metal Work, Biology/Agricultural Science, English Language. ‘O’ Level pass in English Language is required.
xv)Â BAUCHI POLYÂ requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and any three (3) of Economics/Commerce, Technical Drawing/Fine Art, Chemistry, Geography, Further Mathematics, Woodwork, Biology, Religious Knowledge or Metal Work. Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics is compulsory. A pass in Art or Technical Drawing will be an advantage.
xvi)Â TOPSÂ accepts ‘O’ Level credit pass in Chemistry or Physics. Also accepts ‘O’ Level credit pass in Building Construction.
xvii)Â Â KAD-POLY also accepts Geography as the third (3rd) UTME subject.
xviii)Â Â NASARAWA POLYÂ accepts Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry, Biology or Geography as UTME subjects.
xix)  YABATECH requires five (5) O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one (1) of the following: Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, Geography, Further Mathematics, Woodwork, Metal Work, Building Construction, Building Drawing and Electronics.
