Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Statistics under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Any of the three (3): 1. Economics/ Commerce 2. History/Government 3. CRS/IS 4. Mathematics
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) ILAROPOLY requires Mathematics and any two (2) of Economics/Commerce, History/Government, CRK/IRK.
ii) SUREPOLY requires Mathematics, Physics and any other subject.
iii) BAUCHIPOLY requires Mathematics and any two (2) subjects from Sciences, Arts and Social Science.
iv) FSSMANCHOK requires any three (3) subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Agricultural Science, Economics/Commerce and Government.
v) IDAHPOLY requires Mathematics and any two of the following: Chemistry/Physics/Further Mathematics/Computer Studies, Biology/Agricultural Science, Economics/Commerce/Civic Education.
vi) YABATECH requires Mathematics and any two including at least a science subject from the followings: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics, Commerce, Geography, Government.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Statistics;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, Basic Science and any three (3) of the following:
Economics,
Geography,
Government/History,
Further Mathematics,
Physics,
Chemistry,
Biology/Agricultural Science.
English Language,
Typewriting,
‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and Physics are compulsory.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) KWARAPOLY and ADAMAWAPOLY require ‘O’ Level credit pass in one (1) Science Subject.
ii) IBADANPOLY accepts ‘O’ Level credit passes in Economic/Commerce, Statistics and at least a Pass in English Language but does not accept History.
iii) IMTE does not insist on ‘O’ Level credit pass in Physics, and does not accept History, Commerce and Food & Nutrition as subject for course requirements.
iv) AGP requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in English Language.
v) FEDPOADO requires an additional ‘O’ Level credit pass in a Science subject.
vi) NASARAWAPOLY requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Social Science subject, a Basic Science subject and one (1) other from the subjects listed in column two (2) for Computer Science. ‘O’ Level pass in English Language is required. FEDPONAS requires Mathematics and any two (2) of Economics, Geography, History/Government, Physics, Chemistry or Biology/Agricultural Science as UTME subjects.
vii) YABATECH requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English, Mathematics and any three (3) other subjects including at least one science subject from the following in not more than two sittings: Statistics, Economics, Geography, Government/History/Civic Education, Further Mathematics/Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition, Account/Commerce. O Level credit passes in English Language and Physics are compulsory.
viii) ILAROPOLY requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, a basic Science and any two of the following: Economics, Geography, Government/History, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Typewriting. Electrical Installation & Maintenance Work, Electronics, Radio/ Television and Electronics Works, Computer Craft Practice, A pass in Physics is compulsory for Computer Science. And Relevant NTC/NBC &NVC Trades
ix) IGBAJOPOLY and FIDEIPOLY require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics and any other two (2) of the following Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing at not more than two (2) sitting.
x) NEKEDEPOLY accepts Chemistry or Biology in place of Physics. It does not accept Commerce and Government as UTME subjects.
xi) RUGIPO requires Mathematics and any two (2) of Geography, Physics, Economics and Chemistry as UTME subject combination.
xii) KWARAPOLY accepts Statistics as course requirements.
xiii) RUGIPO accepts a pass in English Language.
xiv) EDEPOLY requires or its equivalent five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, a Basic Science subject and any other two (2) from the following Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Statistics. Economics, Geography, ICT/Data Processing Computer Studies.
xv) AKANUPOLY accepts ‘O’ Level credit passes in Further Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography or Commerce.
xvi) OFFAPOLY requires Mathematics as UTME subject and ‘O’ Level credit passes in any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Economics/ Geography/Commerce/Government.
xvii) BAUCHIPOLY accepts Mathematics, a basic Science and three (3) other subjects from Economics, Geography, Government/History, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, English Language, Typewriting. Credit pass in English Language is compulsory.
xviii) OSUNPO requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in one (1) Basic Science subject.
xix) FCAHTPIB requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics and any other two (2) from Economics, Geography, Chemistry, Biology/ Agricultural Science.
xxii) AISCAS requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry and any other two (2) subjects from Biology/Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry and ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.
xxiii) SUREPOLY requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two (2) subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
xxiv) FEDPONAM also accepts ‘O’ Level credit passes in Physics and Chemistry.
xxv) KADPOLY accepts ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics and any two (2) of Social or Physical Sciences.
xxvi) FCAHTPIB requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in Mathematics and any two (2) of Geography, Physics, Economics and Chemistry.
xxviii) SARO-WIWAPOLY accepts ‘O’ Level pass Physics.
xxix) AKWAIBOMPOLY accepts ‘O’ Level passes in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Economics or any order subjects.
xxx) IMTE accepts ‘O’ Level pass in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.
xxxi) DAMATURUPOLY accepts ‘O’ Level pass in Physics, Chemistry/ Biology, and Principles of Account.
xxxii) EDEPOLY requires ‘O’ Level pass in Mathematics and any two (2) of Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science.
xxxiii) LASPOTECH requires ‘O’ Level pass in Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Geography.
xxxiv) SURE-POLY requires ‘O’ Level passes in Mathematics Physics and any other two (2) subjects.
xxxv) FSSMANCHOK requires five (5) credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings to include Mathematics, a basic Science and three (3) other subjects from Economics, Geography, Government, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and English Language. At least a pass in English Language is required.
xxxvi) GRUNDTVIG accepts five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, Basic Science and any three (3) of the following:
Economics, Geography, Government/History, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, English Language, Typewriting, O Level credit passes in English Language and Physics are compulsory.
xxxvii) IDAHPOLY requires five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, Basic Science and any three (3) of the following: Economics, Geography, Government/History, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, English Language, Typewriting. O Level credit passes in English Language and Physics are compulsory.
xxxviii) IMOPOLY accepts a pass Physics.
