In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above listed universities include;
Chemistry, Biology/ Agricultural Science and Mathematics or Physics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) OOU requires Chemistry and any two (2) of Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Agricultural Science and Geography.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and one of Geography, Physics and Economics..
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) MOUAU accept ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.(iii) NDU requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science,and any two (2) of the following – Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Physics.
(ii) MOUAU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and any other Science subject. Also ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science must be backed up with ‘O’ Level pass in Biology
(iii) OOU require ‘O’ Level credit pass in Physics.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Economics and Health Science.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) OOU accepts:
(a) credit in ND Agriculture into 100 level.
(b) ‘A’ Level pass in both Chemistry and Biology.
(c) (iii) ND distinction, HND credit, NCE credit double major in Agriculture
(ii) NDU accepts a. Passes at the ‘A’ level GCE or HSC in three (3) of the following subjects: Biology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics or Mathematics;
(iii) MOUAU requires ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science.
