Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements


In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Crop Production under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above listed universities include;

Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and Mathematics or Physics

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS

(1) SALEM requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Physics.

(2) OOU requires SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Physics

O’Level Requirements


The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Crop Production;

You require;

Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and one Science/Social Science subject and at least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.
 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

(1) OOU requires ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Physics.

(2) FUTMINNA accepts any one of Physics, geography, Economics, Home Economics, Food and nutrition as the fifth subject. At least a pass in Physics is required.

(3) FUTMINNA require credit passes in English Language and Mathematics

(4) FUAM requires five credit passes in Biology or Agriculture Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language, Physics or any other Science subjects. Accepts a pass in Physics.

(5) ATBU requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in English Language but accept ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.

Direct Entry Requirements


These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Crop Production, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Zoology or Physics/Mathematics/Economics.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS

(1) FUTMINNA does not accept Social Science subjects. Other requirements are as in Agriculture

(2) OOU requires ‘A’ Level passes in both Chemistry and Biology. It accepts ND distinction/credit, HND credit, and NCE Double Major at credit level in Agriculture to 100/200 level programme. 

(3) FUTMINNA accepts NCE/OND/HND at minimum of Lower Credit level in addition to UTME requirement.

(4) ADSU accepts OND (distinction), HND (credit), NCE (double major) at credit level in Agric.

(5) FUAM accepts:
a) Two `A” level passes in any of Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Zoology or Mathematics, (Pure & Applied) Physics, Geology and Economics).

b) NCE/OND/HND (Credit/Merit) in Agriculture

(6) ATBU accepts NCE, ND program in addition to the UTME requirements.
