Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements


In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Linguistics / Yoruba under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above listed universities include;

Any Language and two (2) other subjects

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

AAUA for Linguistics/Yoruba they require any Language and two (2) other subjects.

O’Level Requirements


The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Linguistics / Yoruba;

You require;

Five (5) SSCE credit passes including English Language.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

AAUA for Linguististics/Yoruba they require five โ€˜Oโ€™ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and Yoruba.

Direct Entry Requirements


These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Linguistics / Yoruba, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) โ€˜Aโ€™ level passes or NCE to include any Language, preferably an African Language.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

AAUA accepts NCE credit/Merit in Yoruba, Mass Communication and Journalism.
