Education Technology can be studied under the Education in the following Nigerian Universities;
Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Education Technology under the Faculty of Education in the above listed universities include;
Mathematics, Physics, and one (1) other Science subjects.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNICAL accepts any three (3) relevant subjects.
(ii) TASUED requires subjects of specialization and one (1) each from the Arts and Social Sciences or Sciences.
(iii) FUTMINNA requires Mathematics, Physics and any of Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Economics, Geography or Arts.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education Technology;
You require;
Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include Physics or Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUTMINNA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two (2)relevant science and/or technical subjects.
(ii) TASUED requires five (5)’O’ Level credit passes at one (1) sitting or six (6)’O’ Level credit passes at two (2) sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, and other subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education Technology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
(i) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Physics and Mathematics.
(ii) ND lower credit in Civil Engineering, Production/Electrical Engineering.
(iii) Final City and Guilds or its equivalent plus National Technical Certificate
(iv) NCE credit in Technical Education plus ‘O’ Level credit passes in Physics or Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) MINNA accepts City and Guilds Final with Technical Teachers Certificate(TTC), Advanced National Technical Certificate and ND in relevant programme in addition to the ‘O’ Level certificate.
(Ii) TASUED requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes/HSC, NCE (merit) in relevant teaching subjects or ND/HND (upper credit).
