Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Teacher Education under the Faculty of Education in the above listed universities include;
Economics, Mathematics and one other Social Science/Arts subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) SACOED B. ED requires relevant subjects for the teaching options. Literature in English is required for options in English Language, Mathematics and Economics are required for options of Economics and Government and History is required for option of Political Science or Social Studies.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Teacher Education;

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) SACOED B. ED requires
(a) five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Christian Religious Studies and three (3) relevant subjects at a sitting or four (4) relevant subjects at two (2) sittings.
(b) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics and Economics are required in addition to (a) above, for teaching option in Economics, ‘O’ Level credit pass in Government or History and ‘O’ Level pass in Mathematics is required in addition to (a) above for Science and Social Studies, and ‘O’ Level credit passes in Literature in English and two (2) other Arts subjects are required in addition to (a) above for teaching option of English Language.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Teacher Education, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) SACOED B. ED accepts
(a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in the subject of specialization/ teaching subject and one (1) other relevant subject.
(b) NCE merit in the subject of specialization/teaching subject and one (1) other relevant subject.
