Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements


In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Building Technology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above listed universities include;

Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

O’Level Requirements


The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Building Technology;

You require;

Five (5) SSCE credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any one of Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing. For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building/Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) ABSU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two (2) subjects from Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Geography, Arts and Economics or any NTC relevant subject.

(ii) ATBU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two (2) subjects from Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Technical Drawing or relevant trade subjects.

(iii) BELLS requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one of Biology, Technical Drawing, Geography, Economics and Building Construction.

(Iv) CUΒ requires English Language, Mathematics, Physics and additional two (2) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Geography, Land Surveying, Building Construction, Biology and Agricultural Science. Requires at least ‘O’ Level pass in Chemistry.

Direct Entry Requirements


These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Building Technology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) ATBU accept ND/HND lower credit in relevant courses in addition to UTME requirements.

(ii) BELLS accepts
a) two (2) A’ Level passes from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
b) b) ND/HND upper credit respectively in Building Technology.
