Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Public Health Technology under the Faculty of Medical, Pharmaceutical & Health Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) FUTO requires Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Public Health Technology;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English Language
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) FUTO requires at least five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in not more than two (2) sittings.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Public Health Technology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
(i) Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Biology/ Zoology, Chemistry and Physics plus three (3) other ‘O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and English Language.
(ii) NRN or its approved equivalent plus five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language and four (4) Science subjects chosen from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Human Anatomy, Physiology and Hygiene, Health Science, Further Mathematics and General Science
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) UNICAL requires NRN or its approved equivalent plus five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language and one (1) Science subject from the subjects listed in “Direct Entry Requirements” column plus two (2) years registration nursing experience.
(ii) UNICAL accepts HND in Public Health, ND in Environmental Health, Public Health Nursing from West African Health Examination Board in addition to the UTME requirements
(iii) FUTO
requires;
a) At least ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C in any two of the following Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
b) ND/HND at Upper Credit level in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
c) First Degree in Health Sciences.
d) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry, Biology and Physics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet the ‘O’ Level requirements.
