In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Animal and Environmental Biology under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Biology and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(1) UNIPORT requires Biology and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
(2) FED-OYE EKITI requires Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics
(3) FED-DUTSINMA requires English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Animal and Environmental Biology;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two (2) other Science subject.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(1) UNIPORT For Animal and Environmental Biology requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
(2) UNIUYO requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics and Chemistry and may accept D7 in Physics
(3) KSU require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics
(4) FUOYE requires five (5) credits at SSC (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
(5) FUDMA accepts Five ‘O’ level Credits to include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any one of Physics, Geography, Health Science or Agric. Science. A pass in Physics will be accepted.
(6) UNIBEN require ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. UNIBEN accepts ‘O’ Level credit pass in any Science subject in lieu of Physics.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Animal and Environmental Biology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ level passes or NCE in Biology, Zoology or Botany and one other Science subject.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(1) FUDMA accepts Two ‘A’ level passes in Botany/ Zoology/ Biology and Chemistry. ND/NCE with good grades in any relevant field.
(2) UNIPORT For Animal and Environmental Biology accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or IJMB or JUPEB passes in Biology and any one of Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics including UTME entry requirements. OND (Upper Credit) in related Science disciplines including UTME entry requirements.
(3) FUOYE requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Biology.
(4) EDSU accepts;
a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Zoology or Botany and one other Science subject.
b) NCE/OND/HND with credit passes from a recognised institution in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements.
c) A very good passes in JUPEB in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
d) IJMB passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
(5) RSU in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts:
(a) HND (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline.
(b) OND/ND (Upper Credit) in relevant discipline.
(c) HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level passes in at least two (2) relevant subjects; One of which must be Biology.
(6) UNIBEN in addition to the UTME requirements. requires
(a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Biology, Zoology and any other Science subject.
(b) ND upper credit/HND lower credit in Science Laboratory Technology, Food Technology
(d) NCE merit with a credit in Biology or Zoology
