Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Applied Biology under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Chemistry, Biology and either Physics or Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) BUK requires Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Applied Biology;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and any one (1) of Health Science, Statistics, Physics and Geography.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) EBSU require ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
(ii) BUK requires five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography or Physics.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Applied Biology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology and either Chemistry or Physics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) RSU accepts holders of the following qualifications for year II
(a) ND in relevant fields for admissions to 200 level;
(b) HND relevant to the field for admissions to 300 level.
(ii) RHEMA accepts ND/HND lower credit plus the UTME requirements.
(iii) EBSU accepts ND/HND upper credit, NCE merit respectively in the relevant programmes
(iv) BUK accepts
a) two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one from Biology, Zoology or Botany.
b) IJMB.
c) NCE – Minimum of B grade in the relevant subject combination, minus Education in all programmes in the faculty of Life Sciences.
