Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Aquaculture and Fisheries Management under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Mathematics/ Physics
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Aquaculture and Fisheries Management;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and Physics/Geography/Economics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARK
(i) FUNNAB requires;
(a) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
(b) at least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.
(c) candidates with ‘O’ Level pass in Biology must possess ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science. Does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
(ii) UI – The sixth (6th) subject for candidates presenting two (2) ‘O’ Level results could be Geography or Economics.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agric Science/Zoology/Physics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARK
(i) UI accepts HND upper credit into 200 level with exemption from the practical year programme and ND/NCE upper credit into 100 level with full participation in practical year programme in Aquaculture and Fisheries, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Health and related programs. Accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics or Mathematics into 200 level with full participation in practical year programme.
(ii) FUNNAB accept;
(a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level credit passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Mathematics or Physics.
(b) ND/HND upper credit in Agriculture from a recognised institution in any one (1) of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Fisheries, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Agricultural Technology plus the UTME requirements
(c) NCE credit in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics plus the UTME requirements.
