In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Biology under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include;

(vii) FUGASHUA accepts Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.
(viii) BSU requires Biology Chemistry and any of Physics or Mathematics.
(ix) FUTO requires Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics.
(x) IAUE requires Mathematics, Physics and any one (1) of Chemistry, Economics and Biology.
(xi) FUWUKARI requires Biology, Chemistry and any of Physics or Mathematics.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) KUST accepts ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science.
(ii) GSU accepts ‘O’ Level pass in Physics
(iii) ECU and UMYU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject at not more than two (2) sittings
(iv) KASU only accepts Physics or Geography as the other Science subject
(v) NUN accepts English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two Science subjects.
(vi) FUTA requires five (5) SSC credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Agricultural Science
(vii) FUTMINNA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any other Science subject. At least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics is required
(viii) EVANGEL accepts any other Science subject in lieu of Physics.
(ix) KSUSTA requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other Science Subject
(x) UNIABUJA accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or its equivalent in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other Science subject
(xi) FUDMA accepts Five ‘O’ level Credits to include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any one of Physics, Geography, Health Science or Agric. Science. A pass in Physics will be accepted.
(xii) FULOKOJA requires Five SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(xiii) UNIKINGS requires five (5) credits at SSC in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
(xiv) EDSU requires five (5) credit passes at SSC or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xv) FUGASHUA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and any other Science Subjects.
(xvi) FUD accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSC or its equivalent to include Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and any other Science subjects such as Physics, Geography, Animal Husbandry etc.
(xvii) FUTO requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xviii) IAUE requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Further Mathematics, and Technical Drawing.
(xix) FUWUKARI – Candidates must obtain Five (5) Credits at not more than two sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry and any one of the following: Agriculture Science/Animal Husbandry/Geography/Health Science obtained from Senior School Certificate(SSCE), National Examination Council(NECO), National Business and Technical Examination Board(NABTEB)or its equivalent.
(xx) UNILAG requires Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(xxi) FUK requires Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(xxii) LANDMARK requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural science and one of Physics, Economics.
(xxiii) SSU accepts Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two (2) relevant science subjects from Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Agricultural Science, Geography and Physics at not more than two sittings
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Biology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
i) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes from Chemistry, Biology, Botany/Zoology.
(ii) NCE merit accepted.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUTMINNA accepts Physics. It also accepts NCE credit, ND/HND lower credit plus the UTME requirements into 200 and 300 levels respectively.
(ii) UNILAG requires Very good passes in the following three (3) JUPEB/’A’- level subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(iii) EBSU accepts NCE credit, ND/HND lower credit plus the UTME requirements into 200 level.
(iv) CRUTECH Same as in Microbiology
(v) GOUNI and EVANGEL – Same as in Microbiology
(vi) KUST accepts ND/NCE or relevant qualification upper credit/merit in Biology, Health Science/ Zoology or Botany.
(vii) UMYU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and any of Biology/Agricultural Science or Geography or Computer Studies at not more than two (2) sittings.
(viii) FUTA
a) GCE Advanced Level or equivalent with at least C grade in at least two (2) of the following subjects: Biology and any one of Chemistry and Physics; or
b) ND from a recognised institution with a minimum of Upper Credit or equivalent recognised polytechnics and Colleges of Technology in related discipline.
(ix) CRUTECH accepts ND/HND lower credit in Biology, Biotechnology, Zoology, Microbiology, Botany, Laboratory Science, or related programmes plus the UTME requirement.
(x) KSUSTA requires Two (2) A level passes from Chemistry, Biology, Botany/Zoology. NCE merit accepted.
(xi) NUN accepts any two A’ level passes in Science subjects, ND/HND (lower credit) or NCE (merit) in relevant fields.
(xii) UNIABUJA accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry or Physics. Or NCE minimum 10 points and ND upper credit in relevant programmes.
(xiii) EDSU requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry or Physics. NCE credit and ND.
(xiv) FUDMA accepts Two ‘A’ level passes in Botany/Zoology/ Biology and Chemistry. ND/NCE with good grades in any relevant field.
(xv) UNIKINGS accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology and any one of Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. It also accepts NCE/ND/HND in related field plus UTME requirement.
(xvi) EDSU accepts;
a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes from Chemistry, Biology, Botany/Zoology.
b) NCE/OND/HND with credit passes from a recognised institution in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements.
c) A very good passes in JUPEB in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
d) IJMB passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
(xvii) FUGASHUA requires;
a) HND lower Credit
b) OND Upper Credit in Biological Science, Science laboratory technology (SLT) OR other related fields
c) NCE (Merit) in Biology/ Integrated/ Biology /Geography/ Biology Chemistry and other related fields.
d) IJMB Passes in Biology, Chemistry Physic or Mathematics, Botany/Zoology with at least 6 points are admitted into 200 Level.
e) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include one of Biology, Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry.
(xviii) FUD accepts
i) National Diploma (ND) – Minimum of Lower Credit in programmes relevant to the course/programme of choice which must include Science Laboratory Technology, Marine Biology, Fisheries etc.
ii) IJMB Candidates must obtain minimum of eight (8) points with at least a ‘D’ grade in Biology and Chemistry.
iii) NCE Candidates must obtain a total of Eight (8) points.
(xix) FULOKOJA requires; In addition to meeting the UTME Entry Requirements; 2 A’ Level Passes to include Biology/ Botany/ Zoology & Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics; IJMB minimum of 8 points with passes in relevant subjects; NCE Credit pass in Credit pass in Biology/Agricultural Science /Lab. Tech & any related subject combination; ND Upper Credit in Science Laboratory Technology, Microbiology and any other related field; HND Lower Credit in Science Laboratory Technology, Microbiology and any other related field.
(xx) IAUE accepts two (2) A Level passes from Chemistry, Biology, Botany/Zoology. NCE merit accepted.
(xxi) FUWUKARI – Direct Entry candidates must obtain two ‘A’ level passes in Science subjects at GCE A/ Level IJMB/Advanced NABTEB or a merit pass at NCE or at least Lower credit in OND/HND in relevant field. Candidate must also satisfy UTME admission requirements of five credits in Science subjects including English and Mathematics.
(xxii) FUK accepts Two credit passes in NCE Biology or ND Science Lab, Two ‘A’ level credit passes in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry or Physics. Credit passes in NCE and IJMB, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Physics Mathematics.
(xxiii) LANDMARK accepts Two (2) A level passes from Chemistry, Biology, Botany/Zoology. NCE merit accepted.
(xxiv) SSU accepts Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Biology, Agricultural Science, Integrated Science, Mathematics, Geography, or Diploma in Laboratory Science, Environmental Science or any other relevant course with at least Lower Credit.
(xxv) FUTO requires;
a) At least two ‘A’ Level passes not below Grade C in Chemistry and Biology.
b) ND/HND at Upper Credit level in life sciences.
c) First Degree in life sciences.
d) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry, Biology and Physics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet the ‘O’ Level requirements.
(xxvi) AL-HIKMAH accepts NCE passes.
