Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Chemical Sciences under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Chemistry and two (2) of Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) OOU requires Chemistry and any two (2) of Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Agricultural Science and Geography
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Chemical Sciences;
You require;
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(1) GOUNI require five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and any other Science subject.
(2) GOUNI requires five SSCE credit passes in not more than two sittings in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Chemical Sciences, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
(i) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Physics, Mathematics or Biology.
(ii) ND/NCE with good grades in relevant ‘O’ Level subjects.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(1) GOUNI requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Physics, Mathematics or Biology. ND/NCE with good grade in relevant ‘O’ Level subjects.
(2) CRUTECH accepts:
a) For Chemistry ND upper credit in Science Laboratory Technology, HND lower credit in Food Technology, NCE merit in Chemistry and any other Science subject, IJMB B grade in Chemistry and any other Science subject.
b) For Biochemistry ND upper credit in Science Laboratory Technology, HND lower credit in Food Technology, NCE merit in Chemistry and Biology, IJMB B grade in Chemistry and Biology.
(3) OOU Do not accept Biology
