In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Geology and minning under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Any three of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Geography.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Geology and minning;
You require;
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(1) ESUT require Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics as UTME subjects
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Geology and minning, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
(i) Two ‘A’ level passes from Geology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Geography.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(1) UNIJOS in addition to the UTME requirements, candidates must have two (2) ‘A’ level passes in the following subjects:
(i) Geology
(ii) Chemistry
(iii) Physics
(iv) Biology and/or Geography.
Jos also accepts HND in mining Engineering in addition to the UTME requirements
