Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Mathematics, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

(i) Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject.
(ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) of Physics, Chemistry or Economics

(2) RSU in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts:
(a) HND (Lower Credit) from recognized institutions.
(b) OND/ND (Upper Credit) from recognized institution.
(c) At least two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and Physics.
(3) EKSU, OOU and OAU do not accept NCE.
(4) COOU and UNIMAID accept ND/HND in relevant fields.
(5) BIU accepts ND/NCE (Upper credit) passes in relevant field.
(6) UNIBEN accepts DME (Merit level) in addition to UTME requirements.

(10) MOUAU requires A’ level passes in Maths and Physics. Accepts ND (Upper credit), HND to 200 level.
(20) UNILAG accepts very good passes in the following three JUPEB/A-LEVEL subjects: Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry, Economics and Geography and requires a credit in Further Mathematics at O/Level. LAGOS does not accept NCE.
(21) MAUTECH and UNIJOS accept ND (Upper credit) in Computer Science.
(22) UNIBADAN accepts Two ‘A’ level subjects including Mathematics and any Science subject OR NCE with at least merit in Mathematics and one other approved Science subject.
(23) DELSU requires ‘A’ level passes in Maths and a Social Sci. Subjects for Ind. Mathematics.
(24) NDU and ATBU accept Economics.
(25) UDUSOK accept ND (credit in Computer Science or any other Mathematics base subject).
(26) UNIBEN in addition to UTME requirements accepts:
a) ND upper credit /HND lower credit in Mathematics/Statistics or Science Laboratory Technology in relevant subjects.
b) NCE merit with ‘O’ Level credit pass in Mathematics or Physics.
(27) FUTA accepts:
a. ND with a minimum of Upper Credit or equivalent in Mathematics and Statistics, Physics Electronics and Computer Science from recognized Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology; or
b. GCE (‘A’ Level) or equivalent with passes in Mathematics and any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.
(28) UNIJOS does not accepts National Diploma in Computer Science and Statistics, Geography and Mathematics
(29) AAUA requires
a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in GCE or the Higher School Certificate (HSC) or any recognized equivalent in not more than two sitting. The subjects should include Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry.
b) Diploma from other recognized Universities with at least an Upper credit/credit level pass in Mathematics/Statistics, Mathematics and Education, Diploma in Computer Science and Science Laboratory Technology.
c) HND with at least a lower credit level pass in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science or SLT in the relevant area from a recognized Polytechnic or College of Technology.
d) NCE with at least a credit level pass in Mathematics and Statistics/Economics, Computer Science Study from a recognized College of Education. In addition candidates should have at least an overall credit level pass
e) A Bachelor of Science degree certificate in any of the disciplines in Physical Sciences with at least 3rd Class Honours.
(30) UNIUYO accepts ND/HND in relevant fields plus UTME requirements.
(31) FUTO requires
a) At least two (2) ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C in Mathematics and Physics.
b) ND/HND at Upper Credit level in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology or Engineering.
c) First Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology or Engineering.
d) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet the ‘O’ Level requirements.
(32) UMYU accepts a minimum of 9 points in IJMB/HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level/NCE, in Mathematics and any of physics or Chemistry. Candidates with a minimum of lower credit pass in ND/HND in Mathematics from recognized institutions may also be admitted
(33) AL-HIKMAH accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics.
(34) BOWEN accepts ‘A’ level /IJMB/NCE/ND or approved equivalent in Mathematics and any one of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Statistics and Physics.
(35) FUNAAB accepts:
(a) ND (Upper Credit) in Physics, Electrical Electronic, Science Laboratory Technology or related fields.
(b) NCE (Credit) in Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
(c) Two A’ level credit passes in Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
(36) UNIOSUN accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and other science subject from Physics and Chemistry.

(38) LASU accepts Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics as separate subjects.
(39) TASU accepts NCE merit and ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and any other Science subject, Statistics or Computer Science in addition to the UTME requirements
(40) EVANGEL requires second A’ level subject to be either Physics or Chemistry. Does not accept Economics as Science subject.
(41) FUD in addition to ‘O’ Level requirement, accepts two (2) ‘A’ level passes (at GCE ‘A’ Level, NCE, IJMB or ND) in Mathematics and any other relevant science subject with minimum of eight (8) points where applicable, accepts ND credit and IJMB with minimum of eight (8) points.

a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or its equivalent, one of which must be in relevant subject.

(57) FUGASHUA requires ‘A’ Level passes or equivalent with passes in Mathematics and one of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Economics. HND (Lower credit) in Mathematics and any of Statistics, Physics, Computer Science and Engineering and NCE with at least merit in Mathematics and one of Physics, Chemistry or Economics and any other Science Subjects. IJMB 6 points will be admitted to 200 Level
(58) FUPRE requires two (2) A Level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject.
(59) UNILORIN accepts at least ‘A’ level passes or equivalent in Mathematics and any one of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Economics.
(60) FUWUKARI – Direct Entry candidates must obtain at least two A/ Level passes in Science subject one of which must be Mathematics at GCE A/ Level/ IJMB/Advanced NABTEB or at least a Merit Pass at NCE or at least a Lower Credit in OND /HND in Mathematics. Candidates must also satisfy O/L requirements for admission.
(61) IAUE accepts at least two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Science subjects to include Mathematics, Physics and or Chemistry or at least (2) NCE credit passes in Mathematics and Physics or Mathematics and another Science subject or Economics.
(62) MAUTECH accepts Two (2) A level credit passes in Mathematics and any of Physics, Chemistry, Economics or Geography. ND/HND/NCE in Computer science, mathematics, Mathematics Education or Statistics at lower credit level. IJMB with a minimum of 8 points which must include a credit passes in Mathematics.
(63) FULOKOJA requires; In addition to meeting the UTME Entry Requirements; 2 A’ Level Passes to include Mathematics & any one of Physics, Geography, Chemistry, Biology, Economics or Statistics; IJMB minimum of 9 points with passes in relevant subjects; NCE Credit Pass in Mathematics & any other relevant subject combination; ND upper credit in Statistics or Computer Science; HND lower credit in Lower Credit in Mathematics or any other relevant combination; Degree (Third Class) relevant courses from any recognized institution.
(64) KSUSTA accepts Two (2) A level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject. NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) of Physics, Chemistry or Economics.
(65) ABU accepts Two ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in Mathematics and any one of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography and Geology. NCE Mathematics and any of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography Geology and Computer Science.
(66) FUL accepts In addition to UTME requirements, DE candidates must have any of the following: IJMB: Minimum of 9 points in Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Geography or Biology. NCE: Merit in Mathematics and any of Physics, Geography, Chemistry, Biology and Agric. Science. ND: Not less than lower Credit/ HND in any relevant course.
(67) UNIPORT accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or IJMB or JUPEB passes in Mathematics and any one of Physics, Chemistry or Biology including UTME entry requirements. For Mathematics with Computer Science PHC accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or IJMB or JUPEB passes in Mathematics and any one of Physics, Chemistry or Biology including UTME entry requirements.
(68) FUK accepts ND/NCE in Computer Science/Mathematics with at least Lower Credit pass and not below 9 points with any of Mathematics (for Comp. Sci. and vice versa) Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography or credit passes in IJMB with Mathematics and Physics as core and any other subject from Chemistry, Biology and Geography with minimum of 9 points.
(69) KASU accepts Two ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and Physics. NCE merit in Mathematics and any of Physics, Statistics, Chemistry. ND/HND Lower Credit in related field. 7 points in IJMB; in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements.
(70) LANDMARK accepts Two (2) A level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject. NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) of Physics, Chemistry or Economics.
(71) SOSU accepts Two (2) A level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject. NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) of Physics, Chemistry or Economics
