Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Meteorology under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Geography
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUTA accepts Physics Mathematics and Chemistry.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Meteorology;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes including Physics, Mathematics. English Language and either Chemistry or Geography.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUTA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or its equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Meteorology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
(i) ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and Physics.
(ii) ND upper credit level in Meteorology.
(iii) NMO Class II Certificate in Weather Forecasting, plus ‘O’ Level SSC requirements
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUTA accepts;
a) ‘A’ Level passes in Physics and Mathematics and either Chemistry or Geography; or
b) A WMO Class II Certificate.
