Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study International and Comparative Politics under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Economics, Literature in English and Geography/Government/History.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study International and Comparative Politics;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Government or History and three (3) relevant subjects.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study International and Comparative Politics, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Social Science subject from Government/History, Economics, Sociology, and Business Management.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVERS) REMARK
(i) AUN;
a. accepts ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Mathematics, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature in English, Government, History, Economics, Geography, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Civics, and French.
b. does not accept ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following: Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, Home Craft, Home management, Physical Education, Physical and Health Education, Music, Commerce, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Book Keeping, Islamic History, Religious Studies, Tajweed, Library Studies, Diction, Kiswahili, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Arabic, Turkish, Study skills.
c. accepts ICGSE and ‘A’ Level Cambridge and does not offer admissions direct to 200 level programs. May transfer credits relevant to its major at the discretion of the Dean of school.
