Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements


In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study International Studies under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in the above listed universities include;

Economics, Literature in English and Geography/Government/History

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) ABU requires Use of English, Government/History ,Economics and any other subject preferably French or Arabic

O’Level Requirements


The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study International Studies;

You require;

Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Government or History and three (3) relevant subjects

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) ABU requires Five โ€˜Oโ€™ level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, Government or History, Economics, and preferably French, Arabic, Arabic, Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo

Direct Entry Requirements


These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study International Studies, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Social Science subject from Government/History, Economics, Sociology and Business Management

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) ABU accepts Two โ€˜Aโ€™ level /IJMB passes which must include Government/History and any one from Economics, Sociology and Geography. ABU Diploma in Political Science and International Studies with minimum of Merit.
