(a) Functions of NIPOST are:

(ii) NIPOST ensures that all postal items reach their destinations intact and in time within and outside the country.
(iii) NIPOST provides post office box and private mail bag services to the public; letters belonging to individuals and organizations are sorted out and kept for them in exclusive boxes and bags.
(iv) Telegram services which is a means of sending urgent written messages are provided.
(v) NIPOST sends people's mail by air through airplanes.
(vi) NIPOST provides post restante services to tourist.
(b) NITEL performs the following functions:
(i) NITEL helps with telephone services.
(ii) The public can send their telegrams through NITEL.
(iii) NITEL provides maritime mobile services needed for emergency cases.
(iv) Printed messages may be sent through telex facilities from one country to another.
(v) Live telecast services is provided by NITEL, e.g. football match.
(vi) Provides fax services.
