Find the equation whose roots are \(\frac{3}{4}\) and -4

  • 4x2 - 13x + 12 = 0
  • 4x2 - 13x - 12 = 0
  • 4x2 + 13x - 12 = 0 checkmark
  • 4x2 + 13x + 12 = 0

The correct answer is: C

Explanation

Let x = \(\frac{3}{4}\) or x = -4

i.e. 4x = 3 or x = -4

(4x - 3)(x + 4) = 0

therefore, 4x2 + 13x - 12 = 0
