The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has published the 2025 first series of West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, known as WAEC GCE.

Candidates who sat for the exam can now check their results online or through SMS.
Check WAEC GCE Results Online
Follow these steps to check your results:
- Visit the WAEC result checking portal: Go to theĀ WAEC Direct website.
- Enter your examination number: This is a 10-digit number made up of a 7-digit centre number and a 3-digit candidate number.
- Select the examination year: Choose ā2025ā as the year.
- Pick the examination type: Select āPRIVATE CANDIDATE RESULT.ā
- Provide your scratch card details: Enter theĀ Card Serial NumberĀ andĀ Personal Identification Number (PIN)Ā found on the scratch card.
- Submit your details: Click theĀ SubmitĀ button to view your results.

Important Notes for SMS Checking
- Do not include spaces in the SMS format.
- The service costsĀ N30 per SMS.
